Summary

Activity Description:

Pharmacists today face pressure to do more with less, managing limited resources of time and personnel. Pharmacy owners face even greater pressures of running a business and remaining profitable amid declining reimbursements. These professional stressors can be overwhelming when piled upon the everyday deadlines and demands of family, friends, personal goals, and the expectation of constant connectivity.

This session will help participants identify and understand stress in themselves and others, and will offer practical strategies and insights to help individuals navigate the challenges of stress in both their personal and professional lives. Receive useful tools to manage stress effectively, build resilience, and achieve a sense of balance.

At the completion of this activity, pharmacists and technicians will be able to:
1. Understand what stress looks like in the brain, and how to rewire the brain for resilience.
2. Recognize the signs of stress in yourself and others around you.
3. Learn strategies for addressing your own stress and diffusing difficult situations with patients and co-workers.

Texas Pharmacy Association (154) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Continuing education will be provided to participants who completed all course requirements.
